Hello! Happy Valentines day!
I took a little break from making cards and worked on a little butterfly album. They were on clearance at our local craft store. It was a lot of fun to make! I added a lot of embellishments along with quotes and poems. It is jam packed that's for sure. Maybe a little too much?! I have 2 more that I hope to get made for gifts. Not sure if I will do them the exact same or change them up a bit.

Hello!
Where did the week go? I was super busy but didn't realize it's been a week already!! We had a few spring like days but today it is a little nippy out. Can't complain though it's February!! I have a feeling we are gonna still get winter...just a little late.
I've been using purple a lot lately! Not my usual go to color but purples are in right now. I've even gotten my nails done in purple quite a bit. It's good to change it up once in a while I think.
With this card I used several punches. They are some of the floral punches from McGill. I also used my nesties for the sentiment. Added a little bling, some twine & ribbon and called it done.
I have been working on a few orders that I hope to finish tonight. And tomorrow I HAVE to clean my house. Seems like I got so much more done when I was working! Now it's "I'll get to it tomorrow..." . My new motto LOL! But tomorrow the house is going to get more than a lick & a promise.

Hello!
I finally finished my cookie tag book. I LOVE it!!It turned out so cute. You can click on each picture for a better view if you want. It was a kit from Archivers that I bought before Christmas. Of course I had to add more embellishments than they did to "make it my own". I originally thought I would make it for a gift but now I can't part with it. I think I'm going to do something kind of like it for a few Christmas gifts next year. I had taken a class where we used a clipboard for the book base so I ordered a few small clipboards and they should be here soon. So I think it will be the same colors & theme but just different.
Thanks for visiting me today. It is a grey day here but we can't complain...its the end of January and yesterdays high was 55 degrees..crazy!! Supposed to get snow by the end of the week.

Hello!
Just got back from another great weekend of crafting!
I went with several of my friends to a weekend called "Winterfest" held at a quaint hotel where we crafted, took classes, ate good & just enjoyed spending time talking, laughing & creating.

I took several classes from various people. Agi from Paper Parachute who always does beautiful cards with papers she designs herself and different ways to fold your card instead of the usual. She puts beautiful crystals on her cards as well...always a treat. Hers are more of the "elegant style"

I took a class from PK Glitz where I learned how to use glitter & acetate. I LOVED the butterfly card we did!!I think I'm going to add a black ribbon under the sentiment. Of course had to buy some of their glitter and supplies to make some more at home. My picture is a little blurry.Sorry!
I also took a class that we made 8 cards featuring Penny Black's hedgehogs...love those! I have to finish putting them together. The class went so fast I wasn't able to assemble them completely so I hope to get that done today.

I also took a layer by layer class. Time consuming but they turned out beautiful. Not sure if I want to use them on a card like the teacher did so I haven't mounted them on anything. Might use them on a scrapbook page or another project. Hers was full of crystals and I was a little disappointed that we didn't get any to put on our projects..she is known for using tons of crystals on her projects and we all thought we would get them for ours but we didn't (pout):0(... We did put lots of glitter on them but the sparkle isn't showing in the picture.
They asked me to teach there next year! I just have to get up the nerve but I probably will do it. I brought 5 make & takes for the last day and they got a good response and that encouraged me to at least think about teaching a class next year.
I didn't get a lot of projects that I brought along done but my cookie tag book is almost done. Hope to finish it today. It is turning out so cute!! I decided to keep this one for myself. I will post pictures when I get it done.

Hello! Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was Fabulous!! Spent the entire weekend with 9 or 10 other ladies for a stamping/scrapbooking weekend at my friends house. Good food, much laughter, crafting, sharing.... a really great time.
These cards are 3 of the cards for my next months class. I have one more that will be a sympathy card.
The deer card is really a simple card but I thought it would be a good man card...I struggle with making those!
The birthday card is made with an Anita stamp that the store I teach at had for $2.00. I added some punched flowers for dimension.
The mouse card is my favorite! Poor Henry is sick...He's from Whiff of joy stamps. I love the colors of this card. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches. I love the style of her sentiments. I tried to make him look sick by giving him red cheeks and a rising temperature on the thermometer. Added a button from Stampin up's clearance rack and finished it off with some ribbon.

Happy Wednesday!
I am working on several "make & takes" for an event I am attending. I committed to making 5 diff. ones and found out the other day I have to have enough for 45 people for each one. I am trying to keep them fairly simple. This is one of them and all I did was cut out a flower on the Cricut. The cartridge I used was Walk in the Garden.
Even though it is a simple card I like it.

HOLY SMOKES friends...You know how they say you can't teach an old dog tricks? Well, that's me!! Got this new fancy schmancy computer and could not for the life of me figure out the photo software. I finally downloaded the program I used on the old computer but then couldn't find my pictures...I was ready to pull my hair out!! Think I finally got it..at least for today!!
These are 2 of the cards we are going to make in my next class. I thought the brown/ red one with the Cheery Lynn heart die would be perfect for the man in our life. It's so hard to make men cards. At least for me it is!. I did have to add just a touch of bling, hence the rhinestone.
The owl card has a tag in it that when you pull it out it will have the sentiment on it. The stamp is from Stampendous and I used a heart embossing folder to give the card some texture.
Got my Christmas tree undecorated and now am just waiting on my son to get up (it's 2:00 in the afternoon!! How can they sleep that late?! Although he was on call at the fire station last night so maybe he didn't get any sleep...) He has to put it in the attic for me.
I want to get some stuff done around here so I can craft. I've wasted the whole morning trying to figure out my computer. I'm just glad i could finally post something for you. Have a great day!!

I got my new computer up & running...YAY! But... the photo software is new to me and I am having trouble figuring it out.Took me sooo long just to get these 2 photos.

The color purple seems to be what I'm into these days. The Sympathy card was made with my Cheery Lynn die that I got myself for Christmas. :) The flowers are also a Cheery Lynn die. These cards are not one of my favorites to make but it sure seems like we go through them.
The next item is a poem a friend wanted me to put together so she could put in a frame. I have 2 more to go and she is giving them to a couple of her nurse friends.I used my Nellie Snellen punches for the flowers and some small buttons I had in my stash.

Hello! Hope you had a very Merry Christmas!
Ours was nice. Very stressful at times but nice. I just have to learn to not let "stuff" get to me. Working on that! I really need to get down to my craft area and craft. That helps me to de stress.
I thought I took pictures of all the jewelry boxes I made for presents but I didn't :( I do have the pictures of the one I made for my son's girlfriend. It looks gold in the picture but it really is silver. I made the flowers with my Sissix flower die. She loves hot pink & black. I think she liked it.
My kitty will be soo sad when we take down the tree. She loves to be under it whenever she can.
Well I hope to get back to posting & creating more regularly now that Christmas is over. I got a new computer for Christmas and am going to attempt to hook it up this afternoon. Wish me luck! It HAS to be better than this one. This one is sooo slow! Drives me crazy!

Hello! I had a very busy weekend so I wasn't able to get crafty. Went to a yummy book club brunch on Saturday and then to Hale farm & village in the evening for their holiday lantern tour. They take you back in time to see what life was like back then. It was fun but pretty cold! Then yesterday I had my Dad over for dinner. Great weekend!
Since I don't have any cards to share I thought I would show you a few of my favorite places in the house that I decorated for Christmas. I love antiques but can't really afford them. I have some and I really enjoy them.I also have photos from the 1800s & early 1900s hanging in my house. My husband thinks I'm nuts but I really think they are neat. I especially like the ones with the little girls with huge bows in their hair from the Victorian age.We live in an old house that has a lot of character and my style fits perfect with that.
Well, I have to get my shower so I can get this house in order. You can write your name in the dust so I think maybe it's time to clean! LOL! Have a great day!

Not much chit chat today...I am not feeling chatty today.
My card is for my Dad's neighbor who just had a baby girl. The stamp is from Lily of the Valley. So many cute stamps!! Very fun to color.
The other pictures are just a few I took on our bus trip this past weekend. We went to Oglebay in West Va. Fun! It's nice to have friends to do fun things with...I am so blessed!

Hello! Happy December! It's gonna be Christmas before we know it.
I was able to get my tree up & decorated as well as decorating the whole house. Now I just have to do some cleaning. Got some shopping done, cards made (not addressed yet)so I feel a little bit better now that some of these can be crossed off the list of things to be done!
The Snowman card was made with a sizzix die. I added some plastic polka dot paper behind. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the outside. Added some brads for his eyes & buttons. I think he turned out cute!!
The next card will be one of the cards for my Jan. class. It was made with three different Memory Box dies. Simple and I think it makes a nice winter scene. I used a snowflake embossing folder for the background. To finish it off I used some sparkle swirl tape from Michaels.

Hello! Hope you had a very Happy Thanksgiving! Ours was nice but not quite the same without my Step mom. She passed away a few months ago and I feel really bad for my Dad and my stepbrother & stepsister. I have been through this before because my Mom died a few days before Christmas. To see my Dad go through this twice makes me sad. I guess they just have to go through the grief process but it still saddens me to see someone else in so much emotional pain.
After Thanksgiving I went Black Friday shopping with a friend and my daughter. This was my first real experience. We left at 9:30 pm and didn't get home until 8 am!! Crazy! I way overdid it though. Could hardly walk yesterday. It was fun to see all the people. I really didn't have anything specific I was looking for so I didn't have to worry about racing to the item in hopes of getting one. Could not believe all the people out that night!!
I took a break for making cards for a bit to do a little sewing. I made these snowmen from old jeans. I think they turned out cute! I might add some earmuffs to the one with the stocking cap. I need to find some sparkly white pom poms for them.
Today I am taking down all the fall decorations and trying to get a few Christmas ones up. My daughter is home from college and cleaning her room so I can't access the cubby hole of her room where all the Christmas stuff is so I am patiently waiting! If she doesn't hurry up I am gonna lose my mojo for today!
Yesterday my son decorated my car. My SIL bought reindeer antlers and a red nose for it. Very Funny! Can't wait to drive it around and see people's reactions!

Hello!
What a dreary day it is around here...no sun! I'm hanging out at home trying to get some stuff done. For some reason I am experiencing a lot of anxiety about the upcoming holiday season. Not sure exactly why. Need to figure it out so I can get rid of it and just enjoy them. Maybe I place to many expectations on myself?!
Anyway enough of that chit chat!!
Today's card is very similar to some other ones I made. I used a sizzix die for the flowers and a Martha Stewart punch for the border. Love those "loops" it creates! Been doing my husbands Christmas cards for work and our family cards so not too much to show you today.

Good morning! Hope you are having a good week. I feel bad because I'm not posting as often as I would like but I have been super busy plus I have been sleeping a lot. Battling fatigue issues so have to manage my time/activities better I think!
Since it's been awhile I have 4 cards to show you. I am making a pack of cards for a present to someone who loves her coffee! The other 2 cards are for another present. The lady I swim with gets disappointed if she DOESN'T get some cards. I made her a cute little tin with dividers and I am going to fill it with cards for all occasions.I have to get on it so I get done in time. I also have to make Christmas cards for my husbands business to send out. No rest for the weary...LOL! I'm not complaining! It's something I love to do and I am grateful that I CAN do it. No plans for today so I plan on crafting all afternoon.

Hello! Happy Tuesday!
It's a gorgeous fall day here today. The sun is shining and it is in the 60's. Wonder how many more of these we will get?! Gotta enjoy it while we can!!
This weekend my firstborn turned 26. I feel sooo old!! How did that happen? It doesn't seem possible. It seems like just yesterday he was a little guy. I'm proud of the man he has become. Now we just have to work on pushing him out of the nest (HEHE) He's never here and I enjoy his company but I told him for his own good he needs to start planning on getting his own place. Kids must stay home longer these days. Most of his friends/coworkers also still live at home. He has 2 good jobs but they really don't pay enough for him to live on his own.

I was busy yesterday getting my last Christmas class projects done. I have one more project 's kits to put together then I am finished. YAY!! Then onto Hubby's Christmas cards for his shop.
The Angel & baby Jesus card was made with a C.C. Designs Digi stamp. Blue is my favorite color and I love all the sparkle to this card. It doesn't show up well in the photo but in person it is very glittery!
The second item is a gift card holder. I found the directions on some one's blog (forgive me, I don't remember where!) It was a simple but cute holder. I made mine in the snowman theme.

Hello. It's Friday again!! I have been spending a lot of time on my NEW hobby..napping!! LOL! So not getting a whole lot of crafting done. I think I am just a little burned out. I sit at my desk and don't feel creative. Hope it passes soon.
This is a cute snowman stamp from Paper Smooches. There are several in the set but I think this one is my favorite. We attend a monthly card group with about 20 or so ladies. Every month several people teach the rest of the ladies. This is the card I am going to take. Everyone is at a different level of stamping so it can't be too complicated. I think they will like it...

Hello. Wow did this week fly by!! I can't believe November is just around the corner...
I made this adorable Wizard of Oz album from a kit I bought at Archivers. Couldn't wait to make it!! I love vintage so this really caught my eye. Not sure what pictures I will put in it yet but I am so happy I got it. At first I was a little confused with the directions but then I figured it out and smooth sailing from then on. I made a few other things this week but cant show them because they are gifts for Christmas.

This is a sympathy card I made for a friend who lost her Mother in law this week. I never seem to have a sympathy card when I need it. I really should make up a bunch to have on hand. Not a fun card to make but unfortunately one that I seem to use a lot of.

Hello! I had such a wonderful weekend!! We had a whole weekend at a friends house to stamp/scrap and just have fun. There were around 10 of us. We had wonderful food, conversations and laughing till our sides hurt. We shared secrets(I will never look at pepper the same) and camped out all over her house. It was just SO MUCH FUN!! Some of us also went to the stamping convention that was in town.
I worked on my Christmas cards while I was there. I made different "variations" of it. They are pretty flat so I can mail them without the extra cost if I added a lot of dimension with layers or embellishments. I made them look a little vintage this year.

Hello Hello!! It's Sunday and a dreary one at that. Rainy,cold...good day to stay in and craft! Got my sweats on, dinner in the crock pot, and many projects calling my name. I'm still working on all those class projects. I need 15 diff. ones and I am heading into the home stretch..YAY!
This is one of the projects.. a cute little S'more. Pretty simple card. I added a little liquid applique to the top of his head and intentionally heated it extra long until it started to "burn". Wanted him to look nice & toasty. I cut him out and popped him up to give the card some dimension. Used an embossing folder on the background. Hello! It's Tuesday here and another gorgeous day..high 75..loving this weather. Tomorrow the rain comes back :(. As I sit here you can hear all the acorns falling off our trees hitting my roof. At first my little dog would bark every time she heard it but now it's old news! Thank goodness!
I hate to show cards for my class before class because I like the ladies to be surprised. But, I don't have anything else to show you! LOL! Isn't this snowman stamp from Whipper Snapper so cute. I just love their little round bodies! Added some glitter to the snow areas and some gold smooch to the bells. Used some snowflake embossed paper I had and finished it off with a snowflake with a bell brad in the middle. I'm struggling making "winter" cards when its so beautiful out. But the holidays will be here before we know it!

It's a gorgeous day here! The leaves are all changing colors..pretty!
I seem to have lost my mojo lately. With all that has been going on in the last month or so it has left me a little drained. I am recovering though so don't you worry! I will hopefully get back in the swing of things and start posting more often!
This card is one I designed for an upcoming class. I used a stamp set & matching die cut from Prickly Pear. The first one I made I ended up throwing out. So this is the revised card. Hi my crafty friends! I have a quick card to show you that I made last night. This puppy is from the Boys will be boys Cricut cartridge. I kept it simple.
Remember that tooth I got pulled the other day? Well it turned in to a dry socket...OUCH! VERY painful!! Needless to say, Vicoden & crafting don't mix!! It makes me tired so I've been sleeping a lot. Went back yesterday to have it packed with medicine and back again today. Seems to be on the mend :) Can't wait to get creating again.
It's a beautiful fall day here today. The squirrels are in a frenzy in my yard collecting nuts. I have several oak trees and black walnut trees so this is their favorite hang out. Gotta take advantage of the nice weather while you can!

Hello! It's Thursday already!!! I have been a busy little bee the last few days.(pun intended LOL) My friends and I took this mini beehive album class. SOOOO CUTE!! Working on a second one for a gift. Instead of putting pictures in mine, I filled it with quotes & scriptures. Unfortunately the scrapbook store where we took it is closing. So sad to see all these small stores go out of business! But...we got the teachers info and are hoping she will come to our monthly group and teach a class.
Other than that I really haven't crafted much this past week. I have plans to but then something else comes up.
This morning I went to the dentist and had a molar extracted. NOT FUN! I'd rather go anywhere than there! It's a back tooth so he thought I could get by without it. Didn't want to spend the big bucks for the root canal & crown since I don't have dental insurance. Still trying to pay off lots of past dental work. I guess I inherited my Dad's teeth. :( The novocain hasn't worn off yet. Hopefully it won't be to bad (fingers crossed)

Hello! Hope you are having a good day! Mine started off on the wrong foot. My son let the dogs out without a chain(I have told him at least 1000 times they MUST be on the chain)The biggest dog ran away & got sprayed by a skunk. Of course my son had to go to work so I got left with the "problem". Not a great thing to wake up to!! It seems to have only gotten him on 1 leg thank goodness. I hope my house doesn't smell! I don't think it does but a friend of mine says you get immune to the smell pretty quick...UGH!!
I have been very busy this week and haven't had time to create so I pulled a few cards from my stash. Hopefully I haven't shown them before.

Hope you are having a great weekend. I spent some of yesterday with my Dad at a Johnny Appleseed festival. The weather was just beautiful. Fall is my favorite time of year! Cool crisp air, crunchy leaves, the smell of fires in the evening.The beautiful colors of the trees when they are changing. It's gonna be here before we know it!

This is a card we are going to make in an upcoming class. I don't "do" Halloween but thought this little dracula was just adorable. Since it is not in traditional halloween colors I thought it could be used for anything. He is a $1.00 stamp from Michaels. The sentiment was computer generated.

Hello~ It's Thursday and it feels almost like Winter out today! Great day for crafting or reading!! Not complaining! I enjoy the cooler weather.
I have several cards to share today. Not sure I love them but here they are. This first one I used some bird & berry sizzlet dies to create it. Added some white feathers and a tiny black brad for his eye. The frame is a Marianne die.

This is a stamp I got for 50 cents at the used stamp sale. Used some scraps from my scrap bin. Not my "usual" style but I thought he was cute!

Out of the three cards I like this one the best. Played with some of Tim Holtz's glassine paper. Its a coated kraft paper. I cut out the flowers with a Sizzix die, stamped on it, heat set it and then crumpled it all up. The center was something I had in my stash and I used a Marianne Swirl die to add some more black to tie it all in. The ribbon is some I stocked up on after Christmas last year. I added a sticker butterfly to finish it. Looking forward to playing some more today. I should be cleaning....

Hello! Long rough week....over 1000 people came through the funeral home. What a testimony to how many lives my step mom has touched! Now the real hard part starts...learning to live with out her being physically present. Its gonna be a big adjustment for my Dad and I worry about him. But he is a strong man of faith so it is a blessing to know he won't be going through it "alone".
I was just itching to craft as it is my stress reliever. Even though I was exhausted I went and made a card last night. I used a Sizzix embossing folder that I hadn't tried yet. I ran it thru the Big shot with several shades of green and trimmed out the various layers to get what I wanted. I sponged some white ink for the center. I also sponged some ink around the edges of each layer. I really like how it turned out. Wasn't so sure when I got the folder what I was going to use it for. Now I am glad I got it.
I got a pleasant surprise the other day when I was checking Facebook on my phone. I looked and saw a card that looked familiar on the Denami Designs Blog. Upon closer inspection I realized it was mine! They posted my blog for the day with the little hot air balloon card I made. Made me smile! It also couldn't have lifted my spirits at a more perfect time!! Thanks Denami!!
Going to a used stamp sale today with a few of my buddies then hanging out later with my Dad for pizza. See you soon!

This is a really simple card I made with 2 Marianne Designs Die cuts. I used some velvet flocked paper from Michaels that I thought went wonderfully with the Dies.
Yesterday my Stepmother died unexpectedly. So...I won't probably be crafting or posting much this week.I feel so bad for my Dad as this is the second wife that he has lost due to illness. It really hits home for me as I have the same illness they both had. I try not to think about it much but it does weigh heavily in the back of my mind. The only thing different for me is I am on medicine to slow down the "progression" of the disease and those were not made available to my Mom or Step mom before they got "bad". So hopefully they will find a cure soon!
Sorry to be such a "downer". Its just a difficult time right now. Hope to be "back on track" soon.

Hello! Boy where did the summer go? It's the last day of August already!! Crazy! I am looking forward to cooler temps though. I don't handle the heat very well.
This first card uses a stamp I got at convention from Denami Designs. I used some cloud paper for the background and cut out 2 clouds to pop up for dimension. I added some spica glitter pen in orange to the hearts. I added some clear glaze to his nose. That's why it looks funny. The camera flash made it reflect but it looks ok in person. The cheer up stamp is from Paper smooches Sept release. I thought it went perfect with this card. Embossed the background paper & added some twine to finish it off. Hope it brings a smile to the lady's face that's getting it!!

This card was done using my Cricut Imagine & the all seasons cartridge. I thought this little hedgehog was adorable! Added some glitter to his scarf and a brad for his eye & nose. A touch of blush to his cheek and he was good to go. I made the sunflower with a Cheery Lynn die to add a little extra to the card. Thanks for dropping by today. Hope your day is fabulous!

Good Morning! Another week starting. My how time flies!!
I worked on these cute "dolls" yesterday. They are made out of all punches except the body. For that I used a triangle nestibilitie set. I wish I could take credit for coming up with these cuties but I saw them on someone else's blog. You can see the original here. I had so much fun making these. Picking out the scraps I wanted to use. I embossed the backgrounds with different embossing folders. Added some ribbon, brad, pearls & flowers to finish them off. I just love them! It was fun project!

Hello...How are you? Sorry I haven't been posting much. Been in a blah mood...unmotivated and a basic all around slug! House needs cleaning, laundry needs done but haven't felt up to it. I need a big boost of energy! Plus today is a beautiful day out. Weather is perfect here!! Not a day for "housework".
Today's card was made with a Tina Wenke stamp from Stampavie. This time of year reminds me of sunflowers and I had this stamp but never inked it up. I colored it with Copic markers and added a little bit of Spica glitter pen to the butterfly and rick rack on her apron.. Used a new embossing folder from Hobby Lobby and some sunflower ribbon I got on clearance last year. Finished it off with some die cut swirls and a flower button. I think it turned out nice & cheery!!
By the way...Have you tried the new Land O Lakes cinnamon sugar butter? MMMMM Good!Its so good you might find yourself dipping your finger in for a taste. Just had some on my toast. Oh my...yummo!!

Hello! Happy Tuesday!
It's a beautiful day here today. Temp in the 70s with a slight breeze...wonderful!
Today's card is one I had to make for a swap in our monthly card group. We had to make 12 Thank you cards. I chose this cute little lamb from Whipper Snapper to use. The floral paper has a shimmer to it. I added some swiss dotted ribbon and a flower made with my Nellie Snellen punches to finish it off. Small rhinestone was added to the middle. Hope the ladies like them!
I hope to get some crafting in this afternoon. My desk is atrocious!! I'm gonna have to clean off a spot to work. For some reason I can't seem to keep it clean when I am working. Drives me nuts!! I really should clean and organize my craft area before I begin today....

Hello! Glad you stopped by. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It's been a not so good week...family illness, drama and all around chaos...sucking the joy, creativity and just leaving me "down". But...This is my happy place! So no more whining from me! (at least for today lol!)
I made these cards using some of the new Die cuts I got on our stamping trip to Michigan. The sunflower & butterfly are from Cheery Lynn Designs. The vine swirl is from Marianne Designs. I just LOVE them! On the butterflies I added vellum wings behind and colored on the back with markers. Made the color more muted.
The bigger flower die is a Tim Holtz Sizzix die. I have been wanting a flower die for awhile but didn't want to pay some of the prices I saw from Stampin Up. I got this one for 1/2 the price they wanted. Not exactly the one I wanted but it will do! Of course I probably didn't NEED it as I already have a Cricut and I am sure I could cut out flowers with that. But I thought it would be nice to have to "take with me" for crops or classes. I want to try and make some flowers out of fabric with it too.The Hope die is also a Tim Holtz die.

Hello! Happy Wednesday! It's been almost a week since I have posted. I was down with a headache and then went away for the weekend. Fabulous time with friends!! Guess where? We drove to Novi, Michigan to attend the stamping convention. We hit up a lot of the stores in the area too. Tons of fun, lots of good food & company, and many new "toys" to play with. Over spent but couldn't help myself with all the wonderful things we saw. I love to see all the "demos" and samples that are on display.
This is a stamp set I bought there from "Prickly Pear" Never heard of that company before! They have stamps & die cuts that work together. It was hard to pick which one I wanted but finally settled on the bird cage set. The white birdcage was cut out, stamped & embossed with gold emb.powder. The black cage was just made using the die cut only. This set came with several birds to choose from and some little baby owls. C-U-T-E!! I used a new Marianne Die for the flowers on the the white bird cage card. The flowers on the other card was a piece of trim that I cut apart. I embellished the cages with stickers and beads. I also found a 6x6 pad of paper that was all about "bird & birdcages" to use with this set. I can't wait to use it some more...so many ideas swimming in my head!

I've been playing with the new "Fruitastic" stamp set from Paper Smooches. I paper pieced all the fruit and cut them out. This is a FUN set!! The "lemonade" card is one of my favorites. I saw the idea on the Paper Smooches Blog. My friend Sandy gave me the paper and the little 3 dimensional lemon that I used on it. Makes me smile! My other favorite is the one will all the different fruits on the green "You are Sweet" card. Looks Yummy!

Tuesday I went to a friend's house to stamp. We had lunch & stamping & talking.I always have a nice time with Sue! She let me stamp some of her stamps and I took them home and finally got them made up into cards last night. The goose one has the body popped up for dimension. I also used some leaf "stick pins" that I have had in my stash for quite some time. Finally used some of them!
The mouse stamp is Henry from Whiff of Joy. He's not feeling too well...he has a fever. Poor little guy!
The last one is a Stampin Up image...not sure what it's called but Sue let me stamp a few. I used my Nellie Snellen punches to make a few flowers to add to it. Reminds me of a nice relaxing summer day.

Hello! It's a brand new week starting! Hope it's a good one. We have had a lot of family drama lately. All I will say is mean people suck!! Enough said!!
This is a really quick card I made with scraps laying on my desk. I saw this version of a bird on someone's blog.(sorry, don't remember where)I thought it was cute. I used a circle punch and the 2 step bird punch from SU for the beak & wing. The branch is from that punch too. The flowers have a sticky back on them and they are made out of resin.
Thanks for stopping today. I am working on a swatch book for all of my Copic markers. I have one but wanted to make an updated one. Hope to get it finished today. I love to use it to match up the colors of the paper I am using.

Hello! Another scorcher today!! Not quite as bad as yesterday but still pretty darn HOT!!
This card is perfect for summer! Love this image by Stampendous. It's exclusive to Archivers I think but don't quote me on that! Colored with my Copics. Added a little glitter, a few rhinestones and used papers from my scrap bin. The flower is a sticker I had that I popped up. The "enjoy" was a rub on.

I stayed up way too late last night. These are the "3 stooges" begging me to go to bed. They sat at the top of the basement steps making all kinds of noise to tell me it was bedtime. My son was working overnight so they had to sleep with me. Crazy puppies! It was 2:00 am so I guess it was time. I was catching up on some of my recorded shows and my niece was in labor so I was waiting for an update. She delivered a baby boy at 4:30 this morning. So happy for her!

Howdy! The dog days of summer are here. It's only 11 am and already 88 degrees out. Like walking into an oven. I am so thankful for a/c!!
Last night was our city's homecoming parade. I have been going to it for as long as I can remember. It was hot last night too but we got Dairy Queen and enjoyed it during the parade. My son rented out the fire truck to my SIL's realty office. He drove & they passed out little fireman hats. Cute!
I thought since it is sooo hot I would make a few "summer" cards. I added a sunglasses button to the dog and clear glaze for his nose. The sun was colored with a spica glitter pen to make it sparkle even though it didn't show up in the picture.
The changito monkey scuba diving is really cute I think. Those little monkeys make me smile. I had some fishie brads from Michael's that went perfect.

Where are the days slipping by to? It's the middle of July already. Hope you are enjoying it so far. I don't do well with heat so I try to stay inside in the a/c.
My friend loaned me this stamp so I could make a card for a swimming buddy. Isn't this image fun? I added some glaze to the lemonade to make it look "wet". I colored it with my Copic markers and embossed the background. I wanted to give it to them today but...
We got our suits on & walked to the pool. Just as we got wet the lifeguard said we couldn't be in the pool due to lessons. ARGG!! I checked the schedule to make sure I wasn't mistaken. Sure enough it said "open swim". Went to the reception desk and asked why it says that but the life guard said we couldn't. She said Oops, because of the 4th,lessons are off a day this week. Oh well...

Happy Tuesday! Did you get to enjoy fireworks last night? I tried..I sat at the end of our driveway but finally had to go in. The mosquitoes were so bad..they were eating me alive!! Now I'm full of all those itchy bumps!
Today's card is made with a Lily of the Valley stamp. I thought this image was just so cute! I love animals so this was just perfect...with a kitty & a puppy! Speaking of kitties...Why do they pick my yard to have their babies?! There is another mama & babies...This is the 3rd one. I kept thinking she was coming back from where ever they took her. But now I realize after getting up close that this is the 3rd one with similar features & colors. I'm guessing they are all sisters. Even their kittens look the same. I wish people would spay their animals. These are feral cats so even if I catch them no one wants them...so sad..and they just keep reproducing!

This card was made with the "A Child's year" Cricut cartridge . Can you tell I was going for the vintage look? You can't tell in the photo but I colored her wings with a black Spica glitter pen for some subtle bling.

Today's card is one I whipped up in 5 minutes. I used "A Child's Year" Cricut cartridge. This is the first time I have cut anything out with that cartridge. It has a lot of very nice silhouettes. I think it will be one I will use many times. Great for quick cards & scrap booking.
Have a wonderful day! We aren't having a BBQ or anything so I think it will be a low key day. I don't like "quiet" holidays...I like to be with family and people but so much drama with some of the relatives that I chose not to have a cookout this year.
On the upside...more crafting time and I can sit at the end of the driveway and watch the fireworks!

Hello...It's another beautiful day!! Enjoying the sunshine without high temps.
I was in the mood to color last night and this is the result. This clown image is a digital image from Pink Cat Studio. I colored it with my Copic markers. I added some glitter with colored Spica pens. I also added some clear paper glaze to the clowns noses& to the balloons. The sentiment stamp is from Stampin Up. Hello! Finally I could post this...Technology is great but not when it doesn't work!! Frustrating!
Today was a lovely day! The weather is just PERFECT!
Plus I got to be part of something wonderful!
A fellow stamper that comes to my monthly classes lost her beautiful home to a fire. After our last class she went home & her house was struck by lightening. Her hubby & her plus their pets got out but with only the clothes are their backs. They are covered by insurance thank goodness! Some of my friends & I were able to gather quite a bit of supplies for her to be able to get crafty....Crafting is good for the soul. I say it is my therapy and I knew she just needed to stamp! I am privileged to know some very caring ladies and today was able to deliver the items to her Mother in law to give to her. I am blessed to have been a part of it.
Today's card was the one I made for her. I paper pieced parts of it & tried to make it look as cheery as possible. I just hope she knows that we care about her & are praying for her.
After dinner I am going to get crafty myself...I'm feeling the need to color.

Today I have 2 cards to share. The dinosaur card is for my nephew's 2nd birthday. He is having a dinosaur theme for his party. I used my Cricut and Create a Critter cartridge. I used a number embossing folder for the background.
My next card is from the new Paper Smooches stamp set called Surf & Turf. I joined her monthly club so every month I receive 3 stamps sets and boy are they usually cute! I cut out the "perch" and the pelican and popped them up for dimension. I sponged the bottom to look like water.I also used a swirl embossing folder for the background. Used my Nesties to cut them out and added some baker's twine to finish it off.

These are the other 2 cards we will be doing in my next card class. The buzzard is cut out from the Cricut and the Life's a party cartridge. I borrowed it from a friend as I don't have that one. I thought the buzzard would make a good card for a "milestone" birthday...over the hill or even just a birthday for a guy. I used an embossing folder for a little texture.

The bunny stamp is by Hearfelt Creations...I think. There is no identifying stamp on the block. I cut out 3 of the leaves and popped them up for dimension. I cut 1 leaf a third time & popped it up even higher. Used my nesties again to cut out the image and the flowers. Sanded the edges a little and finished it off with red checked ribbon.

These are 2 of the cards we are going to be making in my class next month. Both remind me of summer! The drink stamp is by Whipper Snapper. I used an orange slice & versamark to create a subtle background. I used my nesties to cut out the image & to create the scallop around the image.
The beach card has the cute little changito monkey. The "sun" is an old sizzix die that I have. I didn't color in the sand castle because I thought it would take the focus away from the monkey. Used the swirl embossing folder in the background to resemble water. 3 pearls finished it off.

Hello ~ I am writing this with a bit of sadness. Why do all these animals like my yard? Anyway I was watering the flowers and 6 little eyes stared back at me..kittens! Cutie pies! We have a feral cat problem in our neighborhood but I knew exactly whose kittens they were. They are about 6 weeks old so I caught them and called someone to take them. However now Mama cat has been crying all night and still is...I feel horrible! I actually cried myself! I am an animal lover just so you know. I could have left them alone but then they would turn feral just like their mama and then they would have babies, etc... My head says I did the right thing but my heart doesn't agree. And now to hear the mama crying & looking for them is just too much! =(
I bought a really cool book called Collage Couture by Julie Nutting. She makes "paper dolls" out of newspaper and dresses them with fashions made with scrapbook papers. This was my first attempt. I added some crepe paper to the bottom of her skirt. She is a little too large for a card. The only thing I was disappointed about was I thought there would be patterns. She tells you how to draw your own...too much work for me lol! I do like how she turned out though.

So last night I was woken up by something making a lot of ruckus in my trash. I went downstairs to see what it was. I lifted up the screen and poked my head out above the trash can. It was a cute raccoon. I said "What are you doing? You need to get out of my trash." He was sooo cute but then he bolted towards the window hissing at me. Boy did I slam that window shut so fast , I'm surprised I didn't slam something in it. He went back to rooting in the trash. I said "Have at it" and went back to bed. Never a dull moment around here! LOL!
I'll have something to share tomorrow. Working on a few things and trying to finish up. Making a scrapbook for my niece's baby shower. Only a few more pages to go...

I just love this owl from Hero Arts. I had a lot of fun coloring him in all different colors. I used scraps from my scrap bin...(the never ending scraps!) I added rhinestones & gems for his eyes. The thinking of you is a rub on. And of course I had to get some Baker's twine in there...love that stuff. Added flowers, buttons & brads to complete them. Today's card was made with the Country Life Cricut cartridge. I cut the chicken out at 3 1/2". Used my SU Top note sizzix die ( my fav) and added a brad for the chicken's eye. Inked the edges a little and popped it up. Sentiment was made on the computer. Finished it off with some red twine. Simple but cute I think.

Oh Brother! Apparently I don't have the midas touch...everything I touched yesterday broke or wasn't working! The carpet cleaner, the fluorescent light in my craft area and the *%#$ printer!! Without the printer I can't upload photos. And the computer guy went on vacation. FINALLY SUCCESS!! Woot woot! Got it to work! That's why I couldn't post anything yesterday afternoon...sorry!
I just love Penny Black stamps. They are so cute! This little hedgehog with the smiling snail...CA UTE! On the brown card I added glossy accents to the snail's shell. I used an embossing folder for the background. Added a ribbon & flower and called it done.

Hello! I'm back! Turns out I didn't have hard drive failure but a NASTY virus! Made the computer die. He said it was a trojan that just came out the middle of May. But my computer guy was awesome & fixed it so I can quit going thru withdrawal! I will have something to share later today.
Hope you had a great weekend. Mine was soooo much fun! Went to Girls Night Out musical with a bunch of friends. Drag Queens and feather boas were part of that night! Then went out to dinner. Isn't this recipe book the coolest?! My friends and I took a class Monday night to make this. I just love the "old,vintage look". And it was sooo fun to make! I have decided that this is one project I am going to keep for myself. The cover was made with a clipboard. The inside pages are all pocket pages to slip your recipe cards in to. We added lots of "doodads" to complete the look. I have since added several pages that I made at home. We used the Graphics 45 "Domestic Goddess" line. Fun, fun fun! Afterwards we went out for dinner at a BBQ place. The weather was really bad and one of the ladies had to leave because she got word that 2 big trees were down in her yard. She couldn't enjoy her dinner not knowing what damage they caused. Thankfully it wasn't too bad. Her neighborhood suffered a lot of damage & trees down. Such crazy weather all around the nation! Hope your neck of the woods has been safe.

Hello! 2 quick cards today..
These were made with my Imagine & Lori's Garden cartridge. The orange one has some flower ribbon behind it and I cut some flowers out of paint chips with my nestibilities. Added a few rhinestones and flat brads to finish it off.
I added some rhinestones to the aqua & orange one as well. Used an embossing folder to add some texture...easy peasy! I also added teeny brads for the eyes.

Hello! It's a great day...for a duck! Still raining here with more in the forecast. They say April showers bring May flowers...well we better get a boatload (even though they are May showers!)The only thing growing great right now is the dandelions!

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful Thursday! It was raining here this morning but the sun has just made an appearance so hopefully it's here to stay! Yesterday I spent the day with a friend. What a fun day!! We went to a flea market and a few really neat shops. Then we went to a scrapbook store to make some pages for an officer that was killed recently. They are making an album for his family. Such an awesome thing and I am glad I got to participate. I feel we all need to give of our resources & talents and this was one way I could "do good".
Today's card is one I made for a friend to thank her for my birthday present. Isn't this Tilda so cute? I know...I say that about all of them!! In real life it is full of glimmer & sparkle. Hope she likes it!

Hello! It's a great day here! The sun is finally shining. Hooray!
I had a jam packed weekend celebrating my birthday & Mother's day and my niece's college graduation. I am pooped!
I was playing around with the Tim Holtz Old Jalopey sizzix die. I need to make some guy cards and those are the hardest for me to do. Not sure why but other people tell me those are difficult for them too. I'm not loving how they came out but I don't hate them either. I used some cork paper on the brown card to add some texture.

It's my birthday today so I hope I smell cake! That's the best part of a birthday isn't it? I have a busy day ahead of me so probably won't have time to craft. Having lunch with my Dad & Stepmom...dinner with friends & family...tomorrow going to a used stamp sale..lunch with a friend and dinner with my daughter...whew. Makes me tired just typing it! Hello! Rain,rain go away... We have had so much rain here. The ducks think my backyard is there own private pool! If we get any more I will have to teach my 2 little dogs how to swim LOL! Today is another gray, yucky day! I just keep singing "Gray skies are gonna clear up, put on a happy face..." Maybe Mr. sun will hear it and make an appearance.
Anyway...on to the cards! The blue one was made with the Sweet Summer Stampin up set. I found that neat handmade paper at a local paper store. It is embossed with rose like flowers. I thought it was so neat that I bought a big sheet of it. I stamped the flowers then cut them out & popped them up for dimension.
The kitty card was made with a digital stamp from The Digital Boutique. The kitty stamp came in a set and they are all adorable! I used my nestabilities to cut it out. The pink, lacey one is a Marianne die. Punched out a flower and added a ribbon to finish it off. I colored it with my Copic markers and added a little clear glaze to her nose.

Good Morning! It's a beautiful day here today! Finally able to open my windows and get some fresh air in here! My cat is happy because she loves to lay in the window and watch all the activities of the birds and small animals around here.
Today's card is bright & cheery. I used punches to create my flowers. They are supposed to be daffodils... The sentiment is from Paper smooches. Love that font!!
I popped up the tag a little for dimension and used an EK Success punch for the wavy border. Added a little bee brad to finish it off. It looks like a "happy" card to me...makes me smile. Hope it lifts your spirits too. Have a wonderful day!

Well, Spring has officially started at our house. Came home from stamping with a friend to an ant party in the kitchen. They were everywhere! UGH!!! Finally found where they were congregating..under our water cooler. Linnie was eating them as fast as she could. Yuck!! They are the little tiny ones and she was fascinated with them. They were marching on the counter and in the sink. They weren't there when I left...
Boy what fun on a Monday afternoon! Hee hee. Hopefully I have them under control now.

I finally had some time to create last night. Woo Hoo! I just got the Build a Blossom punch & Stamp set from Stampin Up. I had a lot of fun with them. My cards actually look so much better in person. Happy Saturday! It is gray & gloomy here in Ohio. Raining! But that's a great day to craft right?!
These are 2 cards I have made for my class. I really like how the tulip one turned out! The words are on a plastic sheet that I mounted behind the cut out window. I also used a little creamy chalks on top of the coloring to give it a little shimmer.

Hello! I'm back!!!! Did you miss me? I missed you!
I was in Tennessee helping my brother recover from his 5 surgeries. Poor guy! He still has a way to go but he is at least able to get around a little and do some things for himself now. I think he was a little glad to see me go so he could have some "alone" time. I'm sure it's hard having someone there 24/7 when you are used to living alone. I am glad though that I was able to go and spend time with him and to help him get back on his feet. Didn't see much of anything while I was there except the few places we had to go. I will say people in the south are some of the most friendly people I have met! Even perfect strangers say Hi. How are you? in the grocery store or where ever you go.
Well, I hope to get back to crafting soon, maybe even tonight...I have missed it!

Quick card for you...I paper pieced the dresses & added some pearls. Found the measuring tape ribbon at Hobby Lobby. I sponged some distress ink on the edges to make it look a little aged.
Well, my brother has finally been released from the hospital so I am leaving my family in charge here while I go help him for awhile. Looking forward to seeing him as I haven't seen him for a few years!

Good Morning comments and graphics

Good Morning! I am still alive!! It's been real busy around here and not much crafting time. My brother is finally on the mend after many,many set backs. I am hoping to leave in a few days to stay with him for awhile when he gets home as he will need help doing the simplest of things until he regains his strength. I did get to go to a fun filled weekend at my friend's house. Several of us spent the weekend there scrap booking, laughing, eating and did I mention eating?! LOL! Such good food. mmm yummy! It was great to just have time to "let our hair down" and just enjoy each others company. Didn't get a whole lot of sleep but that's OK!! I got quite a lot of my scrapbook pages done. Haven't worked on that in a loooong time! Taking some stuff to work on at my brother's. Can't take a lot of craft stuff so I stamped a bunch of images to color while I am there and some paper piecing stuff. Maybe I will have something to share with you tomorrow..depends on how the day goes. Thanks for checking on me!

Hello! Hope you all are doing OK. My step mom might get to come home today. My brother is still in the hospital. He's gonna have a long haul to get back to "normal" but he is stubborn so I'm sure he will be fine. I guess it runs in the family (being stubborn) LOL!
Haven't crafted much but did get this card done. Isn't she cute? She is a digital stamp from All That Scraps. Kind of reminds me of my "Magnolia girls". All I can say is "Calgon take me away"...Some of you younger ones won't remember that commercial. It has been one heck of a week with my brother. Just when things are looking up he is headed back into surgery. I have lost count how many surgeries he has had this past week.. at least 5 or 6. I wonder how much more his body can endure. Please keep him in your prayers. Needless to say I haven't done much crafting. Hope to later today. Just wanted you to know I haven't forgotten you. I hope to have something to post later today or tomorrow.

Hello! Just checking in today. No new cards to share.
Asking for prayers though for my brother. He had surgery 2 weeks ago to remove 3/4 of his intestines. He is now back in the hospital after an emergency surgery on Sunday. He has had 3 more since. He is on a respirator & fighting for his life. I am not able to go be with him because he is in Tenn. I can only afford to go once & I am thinking he is going to need help when he gets home. But it is hard being so far away from him! What happened was his bowel perforated and all that "stuff" spread through his body. Plus while he was on the operating table his arm turned blue. They had to operate on it and found a blood clot. He has been through alot lately and I am just praying for God to heal him.
Have to clean my house today & take down the rest of my snowmen. I think it's about time! Then I get to craft tonight...Yippee!! I haven't for a few days and I really need to unwind & just create. It's my therapy!!

The pictures aren't that great...it's snowy & dismal out. Can't wait for spring to get here! I did see a very pregnant robin the other day so it IS on it's way!!

Hello! Today the sun is shining & the snow is melting! YAY!
I noticed my daffodils are starting to peek out of the ground.
Spring is on it's way!
Aren't these stamps FUN? They are designed by Kim Hughes. She just recently opened her OWN stamp company...Paper Smooches. I used to get some of her designs from Cornish Hertiage Farms but now she' on her own!
The stamps are fun & whimsical. Definitely bring a smile to my face. Can't wait to make some more cards..the ideas are flowing today. (Must be because of Mr. Sun)

Hello! Boy they weren't kidding when they said a MAJOR snow storm was on the way! The winds howled all night and we awoke to all our windows spattered with snow. I feel like I am living in an igloo! And it's not over yet. I'd say we have gotten a minimum of 12" or more so far.
Aren't these cards fun? I saw the tutorial and just had to try them. I'm going to give the brown one to my niece for her 22nd birthday. Well our little taste of spring is gone (sigh) and we are now back to the doldrums of winter with more snow on the way! Even though I am tired of it..yesterday when you looked outside it was just BEAUTIFUL. The ice glistening on the trees...the soft white clumps of snow on the branches..lovely!
I needed to make some sympathy cards. Never enough in my stash. I bought this Calla Lily stamp at Archiver's. I paper pieced the flower to give it some dimension. I am very happy with the results. Thanks for coming by for a little visit and I will see you soon OK?!

Hello! I tried this idea I saw on Splitcoast. Aren't they fun? They are called "canopy cards". The one I saw had bakery in the window but the options are endless! Truly was a fun couple of cards to make. Would have posted earlier but the computer was being WONKY again. I got mad and shut it off. When I turned it back on now it was working fine. Go figure!
My brother's surgery went well. He is on the road to recovery now. My son's test..not so much...didn't pass but is determined to try again! Family stuff? Too much drama for me. Such a roller coaster ride that seems never ending...All I can say is Calgon, take me away. (I know, I'm dating myself with that one!) Well, until next time...Happy Crafting!

Hello...no new projects to share. It has been a rough couple of days. My Brother is in surgery right now and it is pretty major. I am nervous and waiting for the word on how it went. He's in Tennessee so I wasn't able to be there with him.My son is taking a very important test today to get his Paramedic card. I am also going thru some tough stuff here at home. I hope to get to my craft area this afternoon. That is a great stress reliever for me. So bear with me. I should have something to share with you tomorrow. (fingers crossed)
